Itinerary:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND RELAXATION IN PREPARATION FOR THE SAFARI
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by a dedicated member of our staff, who will then escort you to the Airport Link Guest House. At the lodge, our experienced company guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on the exciting safari adventure that is set to commence the following day.
DAY 2: TRAVEL TO GULU WITH ENROUTE RHINO TRACKING AT ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
We will embark on an early morning journey to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we will have the opportunity to observe the majestic white rhinos in their natural habitat. The sanctuary is home to a thriving population of these magnificent creatures, and we will be on the lookout for moments when the rhinos charge and use their prized horns for digging and breaking branches.
After a thrilling day tracking the rhinos, we will proceed to the Gulu Municipality for an overnight stay at the Bakers Fort Lodge. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will have the opportunity to relax and unwind in comfort. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep, in preparation for the next day’s activities.
DAY 3: ROAD EXPEDITION TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
On the third day of this Safari, we will embark on an exciting journey to the Kidepo Valley National Park, one of the most spectacular and wildest reserves in Africa. The park is known for its vast plains and semi-arid savannah, as well as its small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs. The temperatures in Kidepo can be high, making for an exhilarating and authentic adventure experience.
During your visit to Kidepo, you will have the opportunity to take in stunning panoramic views of the Narus River Valley, where you can see grazing wildlife such as elephants and herds of buffaloes. The park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, making it a true haven for nature enthusiasts.
On arrival, you will retire to the Kidepo Savanna Lodge, which offers comfortable accommodation and a serene atmosphere. The lodge is strategically located at the edge of the park, providing easy access to all the key attractions and activities.
DAY 4: EXPLORATION AND DISCOVERY OF KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK AND SOCIAL INTERACTION WITH THE KARAMAJONG PEOPLE
Game viewing is at the core of this safari, providing you with the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of wild animals in their natural habitat. The Kidepo Valley National Park is home to herds of buffaloes, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, among other species. Additionally, the park is known for its high chances of spotting big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they go about their hunting business. The Safari is strategically designed to take you through different parts of the park to increase your chances of encountering rare animals such as the hunting dog, bat-eared fox, and other species that are endemic to the Kidepo National Park like the striped hyena.
After the game drive, you will have the opportunity to engage in a cultural interaction with the Karamajong people by visiting one of the homesteads. You will meet local elders, who will show you around their kraals, grinding stones, and other items that are an integral part of their daily lives.
After a day full of adventure and cultural immersion, you will retire to the comfortable accommodations at the Kidepo Savanna Lodge.
DAY 5: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
On the next leg of your safari, you will travel from the Kidepo Valley to the Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park and home to over 400 bird species. The park boasts an array of attractions, including mammal species such as lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes, which are considered members of the big five.
In addition to these majestic animals, the park is also home to a variety of other species, including bushbucks, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, Jackson’s Hartebeest, hyenas, hippos, and crocodiles, among other resident creatures.
Your journey to Murchison Falls National Park will begin in the morning, and you will travel through Gulu, Uganda’s biggest town in the North. You will continue the drive through the flat, scenic landscape, where you will have the opportunity to see traditional Ugandan homesteads and get a glimpse of true Ugandan countryside. You will arrive at the park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
The accommodation for the night will be at Fort Murchison, a comfortable Lodge with all the amenities to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
DAY 6: EXPLORATION OF MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK WITH AN EARLY GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE TO THE BASE OF MURCHISON FALLS
Experience the natural splendor of Murchison Falls National Park on this unforgettable safari. The park is rich in biodiversity, home to an array of animals, birds, and the Nile River, all of which will leave you with beautiful memories of wild life.
Your adventure begins with a game drive through the northern circuit of the park, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot various species of wildlife.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you’ll witness the awe-inspiring sight of the Nile as it thunders through a narrow 7-meter gap, plummeting 43 meters to create the falls. This is a truly breathtaking experience, not to be missed.

DAY 7: TRAVEL TO ENTEBBE FOR DEPARTURE FLIGHT
After a leisurely breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Entebbe for your departure flight. If your flight is scheduled in the evening, you will have the opportunity to take a brief tour of Kampala city, where you will visit various sites, including craft markets, monuments, religious sites and political landmarks. This tour will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the rich history and diverse culture of Kampala city.
